Dan Beeson, DC, DABCI, is an expert chiropractic physician who has helped thousands of patients since he began his practice in 1974. Specializing in chiropractic care and internal medicine, he treats sports injuries, work injuries, auto injuries, and many other acute and chronic conditions at Beeson Wellness Center in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Beeson discovered his interest for chiropractic medicine when he neck was injured in a Linfield college basketball game and got tremendous relief and help from Dr Failor a chiropractic physician. In 1970 he was drafted by the New Jersey nets, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle SuperSonics. He chose the SuperSonics and made it through rookie camp and was released when the team was limit to 12 players, but Lenny Wilkens (player coach) asked Beeson to remain with the team as the head bench coach with the Seattle SuperSonics. He declined the coaching position and head to Chiropractic college. His career as a professional basketball player was promising, but the passion Dr. Beeson felt about healing others eventually led him to pursue his true calling in medicine.
Dr. Beeson earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the University of Western States (formerly known as Western States Chiropractic University) in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Beeson received his undergraduate degree in Physical education from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.
While in practice Dr. Beeson completed additional training in internal medicine, and he is qualified to diagnose and treat all internal conditions. He is certified as a diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (DABCI).
A distinguished physician, Dr. Beeson has served as the state delegate of Oregon to the American Chiropractic Association multiple times over his career. He has served six times as president of the Oregon Chiropractic Association. He has also served as the chair of the association’s chiropractic legislative committee for over 20 years.
Dr. Beeson has been an instructor throughout his career. He currently serves as an extended faculty member at the University of Western States, and he provides chiropractic students with an opportunity to complete a practicum at Beeson Wellness Center.
Dr. Beeson completed an advanced certificate in auto injury treatments at the Spine Research Institute, and he continues to improve his skills by attending classes and seminars in medical research.
