What is peripheral neuropathy?

Neuropathy refers to pain caused by damage, irritation, or inflammation of nerve tissue. These will be used to determine the cause of your symptoms and the extent of any damage to your spinal discs, vertebrae, bones, connective tissue, or any other tissue. Your provider may also order blood work and a urine test to rule out any underlying medical conditions.
